Dan’s journey began at just 15 years old, launching a career in radio and television that has spanned 45 years. A graduate of Valley City State University (Class of 1985), he has left an indelible mark on North Dakota’s airwaves, with 39 years of experience in Fargo alone. From hosting telethons and public service campaigns to serving as Sports Director for Fargo’s NBC affiliate, Dan has mastered the art of communication in virtually every format.
The Voice of the Bison & Beyond
For 26 seasons, Dan has been the stadium announcer for the 18-time National Champion NDSU Bison Football Team, as well as the stadium announcer for North Dakota State Men’s and Women’s Basketball. His presence extends beyond the game, hosting premier events such as:

When he’s not behind the microphone, Dan enjoys “glamping” with his wife, Patty, a respected leader in Internal Auditing with a major insurance company. Together, they share their home in South Fargo with Gabby, the cat in charge. A lifelong Beatles fan (Yeah Yeah Yeah!), Dan finds inspiration in music, storytelling, and the connections that make life extraordinary.
