Our Mission

Dan Michaels is the President of the Christmas Gift foundation. A 501 (c)3 Non Profit entity. Our Mission is to help those who find themselves in need during the most important time of the year; The Holiday Season.  At Christmastime each year we ask your help to let us know of individuals or families in need. Based on biggest need first, we try to grant as many Christmas Gifts as we can.

Dan started the Christmas Wish program in 1988. In 2000 he began The Christmas Gift program. Dan is proud of both programs. The Christmas foundations Dan started have generated millions of dollars over the years for those in need.

We decided many many years ago that if we truly wanted to help our fellow man, we needed to raise our own revenue. One of our key fundraisers is The Christmas Gift's  Fashion Avenue! Held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each year at the Fargo Holiday Inn, Fashion Avenue is the regions biggest, hottest and most fun Girls Night out anywhere!  Fashion Avenue 2025 is scheduled for Nov. 25 at the Fargo Holiday Inn!

The Christmas Gift program has been honored multiple times for it's dedication to helping our fellow man, twice earning the Metro Area Mayor's Committee Award for Distinguished Service and an Eric Sevareid Award.
